Trujillo, also known as “The City of the Eternal Spring” is located 522 km north of Lima. It is the oldest city in Peru and considered the third most important city in the country. Chan Chan
A city made of adobe, with more than 20 km2, and named a cultural heritage of humanity. It is located only 5 kilometers from the city of Trujillo. Here you will be able to discover 10 cities from the Chimu culture. On it´s walls, you will find high relief figures such as fishes, brids, geometric figures and others singular items from the pre-Columbian era.
Temple of the Sun and Moon
Close to Chan Chan, you will find both sanctuaries that belonged to the Mochica culture. The Temple of the Sun was a political and administrative center with more then 140 adobes. The legend says that it was built in only 3 days, by more than 250,000 people.
On the other hand, the Temple of the Moon was used as a commercial center. On its walls you will be able to see different polychromatic figures.
