Larco Museum
TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice Ranking in 2018 has considered the Larco Museum the best in South America. It is located in the district of Pueblo Libre in Lima since the 50s in a 18th century mansion. It is considered one of the most important tourist attractions of the city, as it allows you to know more about the ancient Peru and the elements that are part of our culture. You can visit the museum any day of the year from 09:00am to 10:00pm
Pedro de Osma Museum
It´s located in the heart of Barranco, one of the most bohemian districts in Lima. Here, you can learn more about colonial Lima and Peruvian elements from the viceroyalty era. The museum is opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 06:00pm, and the cost per person is of S/20.00 ($6.00).
Gold Museum
Located in the district of Santiago de Surco. Here you will find many gold, silver and copper pieces, as well as textiles from different cultures of Peru. It is also known for its weapons collection, which includes shotguns, carbines, 14th century rifles, and uniforms of famous characters from the history of Peru such as Simon Bolivar. The entrance ticket is S/33.00 ($11.00) and you can visit it every day from 10:30am to 06:00pm.
Contemporary Art Museum – MAC
The MAC opened it´s doors in 2013. It is located in the district of Barranco, near Miraflores. At this museum you will be able to find many contemporary art pieces, both national and international. In addition, some days there are lectures, workshops and presentations. At the end of the day, enjoy the outdoor garden and disconnect from the city. Visit this museum from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 06:00pm at a cost of S/10.00 ($4.00).
Art Museum of Lima – MALI
The MALI museum will surprise you with its beautiful architecture. Here, you will be able to explore the many eras Peru´s history, more than 3,000 years, from the pre-Columbian times to the 20th century. Visit this amazing place located in the historic center of Lima form Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 07:00pm. The price per person is of S/30.00 ($8.00).
