For the third consecutive year, the Ironman 70.3 arrives in Lima to celebrate one of the most demanding triathlons in the world and in Tierra Viva we celebrate it with a special offer for the participants. The event will take place on April 14 at the Costa Verde and will gather athletes from all corners of the planet who will arrive to the Peruvian capital to win the coveted title.
The participants will have to face in three different sports disciplines: swimming, running and cycling. The Ironman 70.3 2019 will start in the Pacific, where athletes will have to swim 1.9 km of Agua Dulce, a calm beach with a temperature between 19 and 21 ºC.
The race will continue with the discipline of cycling, in which the athletes will have to pedal 90 km, doing 3 laps of 30 km each, starting from Agua Dulce and reaching the district of San Miguel.
As a last stage, the athletes will have to go across 21.1 km of the Costa Verde, accompanied by the incredible views of the sea and the city of Lima, to arrive again at the triathlon starting and ending point: the Agua Dulce beach.
This demanding race has been held since 2017 in Peru and it has position Lima within the big cities of the world in which a triathlon is carried out. Here, the participants will not only live an incredible sporting experience but they will also be able to get to know the Lima culture, enjoying our gastronomy and visiting important places like museums, huacas or the historic center.
