Via Ferrata: Climbing up the Pachar Walls

The Pachar community is located just 5 minutes from Ollantaytambo. In its mountains, near the highway, you can find one of the most exciting aventure experiences in Peru: the via ferrata, or system of stairs and high technology cables through which you can climb up to 300 meters high. There are two ways to experience the climb, the family route and the complete route, which offers the possibility of spending the night en vivac, floating among the walls. As a complement to the experience, you can also do the canopy or cable system in which the passenger literally flies over the Sacred Valley.

Useful Tips:

  • Location: 65 kilometers from Cusco, in the Sacred Valley. 10 minutes after passing Urubamba and 5 minutes before arriving to Ollantaytambo.
  • Reservations: 084974360269 / 084799158 / info@naturavive.comwww.naturavive.com
  • Access: the people responsible for the Via Ferrata and the Canopy organize daily trips from Cusco and the Sacred Valley.
