In one corner of the main square stands a beautiful baroque style church built by the Jesuits. This temple that took 100 years to be built is the epitome of Arequipa architectural style and is one of the most beautiful churches of the city. It was began to raise in 1578, but an earthquake destroyed the work, it was once again began its construction in 1590. As with many buildings of Arequipa, the material used in the Church is the white and porous stone ashlar from the Misti volcano, which can be seen from the city. One aspect that stands out is the rich decoration of the main facade, and the altar stand and wooden retablos, colonial paintings and polychrome murals diverse fauna and flora.

- Hours: Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 pm – 7:30 pm. Saturday opens at 11:30 am.
