Celebrate the National Pisco Day in these bars in Lima!

The rich lands of the Peruvian coast are responsible for our most famous beverage: pisco. This drink, made from grapes, is the principal ingredient of the most delicious Peruvian cocktails. Today, on the National Pisco Day, we recommend you some of the best places in Lima to enjoy this wonderful drink. Cheers!

Bolivar Hotel

A classic of our capital is the Bolivar Hotel and its well-known Pisco Sour Cathedral. The creation of this drink goes back to the first half of the 20th century and it attracts tourists and celebrities from all over the world until today. You do not need to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy this cocktail: you just have to go to the bar and ask for a Pisco Sour Catedral. You can drink it with beautiful views of the Plaza San Martín!

Museo del Pisco

What better place to celebrate this day than a space dedicated entirely to pisco? Just a few steps from the Plaza de Armas in Lima and, also, in the tourist district of Miraflores, you will find the Museo del Pisco, a bar where you can order from the classics pisco sour or chilcano to other more exotic drinks. In addition, you can accompany the cocktails with typical dishes of our gastronomy. A perfect place to enjoy the flavors of Peru!

Among the wide range of bars that you will find in the district of Miraflores, where our three Tierra Viva hotels are located, the Huaringas stands out  with its most acclaimed cocktail: maracuyá sour. The passion fruit is the perfect complement for pisco and in Huaringas, without any doubt, they know the perfect technique to mix them. If you like to take risks with new flavors, this is your place.

Antigua Taberna Queirolo

The Antigua Taberna Queirolo is one of those bars that exudes tradition and custom. It is located in Pueblo Libre, a not touristy district of Lima that keeps the charm of the traditional neighborhoods of our capital. The tavern is perfect to spend an afternoon among cocktails, typical meals and good conversations with Peruvians who visit the place.

The first thing that stands out of the Ayahuasca bar is its location: an impressive republican mansion from the end of the 19th century that will leave you speechless. Here you will find a place with good atmosphere, good music and an excellent drink menu in which pisco is the real protagonist. If you want to try something new, put aside the classics and dare with one of their macerated.

Are you already imagining yourself with a pisco cocktail in your hand? Just one last warning: be careful because the sweetness of these drinks makes them look soft, but the percentage of alcohol is really high.

If you are looking for a place to spend your days in Lima, we invite you to visit our hotels in Miraflores, close to various tourist attractions in the city.
