Adventure Sports in Puno

Puno is one of the most important cities in Peru that many visitors, from all over the world, wish to visit due to its history and culture. But beside this cultural tours, there are other activities that you can do if you are an adventure lover. In the following blog, we will let you know how to enjoy this beautiful city at its fullest.

Kayak in Lake Titicaca

Puno is located at 3,827 meters above sea level, and shares the Lake Titicaca with its neighbor country Bolivia. One of the activities you can practice on the lake is Kayak. The tour starts departing from Esteves Island to the floating islands of Uros. The journey lasts approximately one hour, and here you will be able to see the flora, fauna, and beautiful landscapes that the highest navigable lake in the world has to offer. Upon arrival, you will be welcome by its local people who will teach you more about their customs, and activities.

Bike Tour

If you are fond of cycling, we recommend you to visit the Valley of Titicaca on a tour that will take you to the northern part of the city, to its highest point: the Yanamayo hill. From here, you will have an amazing view of the city of Puno, Lake Titicaca, and the floating islands of Uros. The journey continues to the Viscachuni viewpoint, to then descend to the port of Puno, where the tour ends and you will be transferred back to your hotel to take a fresh shower and rest after a day full of adventure.
