Santa Teresa is located in the high jungle, about 15 kilometers from Machu Picchu, surrounded by a forest rich in orchids, coffee, tree ferns and thermal waters, close to the Sacsara river. An ideal scenario for fluvial adventure experiences, has one of the best canopy of Peru.</p>

<p>Huacarpay, which also gives its name to a small town, is located near the intersection of the road that arrives at the Sacred Valley from Pisac, and the route connecting Cusco with the Titicaca.</p>
<p>Around them, and on top of the lagoon, are the archaeological sites of Rumicolca and Piquillacta.</p>

From anywhere you are standing it is possible to observe this volcano, which has, over the centuries, extracted the Ashlar stone, with what they have built the main monuments, churches and mansions of the city. It lies in the Valley of Chili, and is currently unused. In its peak they were found some archaeological remains belonging to the inca.</p>
<p>Several tour operators in Arequipa offer hiking to the top, located at 5,825 meters, but not difficult from a technical point of view. Nonetheless, it requires having a good physical condition because of the height. Vertiginous downhill mountain biking are also practiced by the slopes of this volcano whose shape is pyramidal. From its upper parts are extraordinary views of Arequipa and valleys that surround the city.</p>

In this place are different artisans offering their tissues are located in this place, and is also the starting point of a downhill mountain biking, that which through mountain paths, leads to the capital of the Colca, Chivay.</p>
