Huaypo is one of the most beautiful lagoons of the Sacred Valley. It is located on the road that connects this place with Cusco by the route of Chinchero and very close to Maras. Its waters feed communities and nearby cultivation fields and therein several tourist operators offer interesting experiences with kayaks, horseback and bicycles rides by their surroundings, and picnics. Huaypo is also the start of a beautiful route that leads to the pampas of Anta, Izcuchaca and Cusco.
Useful tips
- Location: 45 kilometers from Cusco and 15 kilometers from Urubamba.
- Entrance fee: it is free but we recommend that you visit the lagoon with a guide or agency.
